Nindles WoW Guide

Hey,

Welcome to my World of Warcraft Guide or in short WoW Guide. I’ve started this site for the purpose of sharing my own experiences and knowledge of World of Warcraft by providing free WoW guide. And hopefully also help those who are new to the game.

Now… you’re probably wondering who am I and why you should read my wow guide…

Well… First and far most I’m a gamer! I’ve been playing games ever since I can remember, and what’s even better is that I’ve been playing MMORPGs ever since Ultimate Online (UO) which many people consider it as the grandfather of all MMORPGS.

The point is I have a lot of experiences especially with MMORPGs. However, I do have to admit I’m not one of the top players on any WoW servers because I have a life and I have to work J (I know some people don’t). But despite my limited playing time I was still able to level extremely fast (1 – 85 in about 1 month and a few days) with my WoW characters due to my past experiences with many other MMORPGS.

Anyways… that’s enough about me let me tell you what you can expect to from this WoW guide if you choose to read use it. And by the way, although this is a great WoW guide for beginners but I know it’s not for everyone. So if you’re looking for a complete or more comprehensive World of Warcraft guide then I highly recommend you check out Dugi’s WoW Guide.

My plan for this wow guide is to cover as many aspects of World of Warcraft as I can. I’m going to share some of my own personal as well as many of the best tips and tricks I know of to help you level faster, get gold faster, and basically have a lot more fun with the game. Below are the 4 major categories that I’m going to cover on this site.

  • General WoW Guide
  • WoW Professions Guides
  • WoW Classes Guides
  • Best WoW Guide Reviews

So, now that you know what you can expect from my WoW Guide then lets get started right now with some beginner tips for World of Warcraft.

WoW Guide: What is It…

I’m going to assume that you should at least know what the game Worlds of Warcraft is about since you’re have somehow found my site through friend or Google or something. But I’ll do a quick rundown anyway for those who are new to the whole MMORPG scene.

Basically WoW is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), and it was released back sometime in 2004. Ever since it was released it was hugely successful, and to my personal understanding it is probably the most popular MMORPG game ever with well over a million players playing the game every day all around the world.

As with most MMORPG out there, WoW is a fantasy based game where you take control of a heroic character of some sort and go on endless adventures in the world of Azeroth! Through these adventures you will encounter powerful dragons and terrifying demons, and as you defeat them you will gain experiences, learn new skills and magics, as well as acquire gold and valuable treasures.

There is a bit more to the game, but I’m not going to explain it here.

WoW Guide: Choosing Your Realm (Server)

wowrealm Nindles WoW GuideThe first thing any new World of Warcraft player has to do is to choose a realm or server that you want to play on. There are 4 types of server you can choose from, but in reality there really are only 2 types of server.

Normal: Generally if you don’t like PvP (Player vs. Player) and like to do a lot of raiding, questing, getting gears, or just like to hunt monster for fun than this is the server for you. PvP must be consensual on these servers and Role-play is optional. And usually you will find more friendly people on normal servers.

PvP: These servers are for people who like to fight against other players. Everything on these servers is just like the normal servers expect opposite faction players can engage each other in a fight without consent. Role playing are also optional here, and usually you will find more jackass here icon smile Nindles WoW Guide .

Normal – RP: These are just like normal servers expect role-playing is mandatory. I don’t like to role-play much so I never play these servers.

PvP – RP : Again same as PvP server with Role-play.

WoW Guide: Creating Your First Character

This is the moment of truth, this is where you destiny begins. It is time to make your first character!

To be honest from my personal experiences with MMORPG, most new players usually don’t stick with their first character. What usually ends up happening is player gets the game, player makes character, player thinks his character is weak, and player make new character.

All of this is ok! There is nothing wrong with experimenting with the game till you know which character suits you the most. However, the truth is every time you reroll a character you will have to start all over again and level up again.

So, if you’ve a lot of time on your hand then by all means try every race and see what suit you the best. But for most people time is money, and with WoW this is literally true as you pay monthly to play it. Anyway, if you must reroll a character than do so, but if you’re new and just starting out choose your character wisely with the information you get from this WoW guide.

WoW Guide: Choosing Your Faction

Choosing your faction in WoW is a bit of a misnomer. As you don’t actually choose you faction but you choose your race, and depending on the race you choose, you’ll belong to either the Horde or the Alliance faction.

horde Nindles WoW GuideThe Horde Faction – Undead, Troll, Orc, Blood elf, and Goblin (Cata) are the 5 races that make up the Horde faction. Basically it is the “Evil” faction with all the evil races.

alliance Nindles WoW GuideThe Alliance Faction – Human, Gnome, Night Elf, Dwarf, Draenei, and Worgen (Cata) are the 5 races that make up the Alliance faction. And you guessed it is the opposite of the Horde faction which has all the good races.

Personally I believe that choosing your faction in WoW has little to no importance as to how good you will be in the game later on. The only difference between the two factions is the story line, quests, and a few other things that are not important.

The only thing that you should consider when it comes to choosing a faction is whether you have friends that are going to play with you or not. The reason is that if you choose the opposite faction of your friends, then you won’t be able to communicate and play with them.

So, unless you have friends that play WoW with you, you don’t have to worry about choosing faction at all. Instead focus on choosing a good race and class for yourself, because that will be far more important.

Note: As this WoW guide is getting a little long, I decided to split it in to two parts. In the next part of this WoW guide I’m going to cover what Race or Class to choose, special racial traits, and much more. Here is the link to my World of Warcraft Race Guide.
